The earliest document related to the existence of this drawing dates back to 1810, when a copy was first made.
For reasons of preservation, the drawing cannot leave the Royal Library of Turin, where it is now kept.
Leonardo3 has developed HyperView technology to promote and exhibit such delicate pieces of art like this one. Not only is it possible to interact directly with the drawing, but it is also an opportunity to observe it with a degree of detail far beyond what can be seen with the naked eye.
